PAF holds Annual Air Force Symposium

The Philippine Air Force recently conducted its annual Air Force Symposium on June 07, 2018 at the Armed Forces Commissioned Officers' Club in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City headed by LTGEN GALILEO GERARD R KINTANAR JR AFP, Commanding General, Philippine Air Force.

With the theme, "Harnessing Air Power to Address Emerging Security Challenges for Peace and Resilient Development", the symposium highlighted Air Power as an important element in the whole nation's effort to address the nation's security landscape.

The AFS is a whole day event which involves the gathering of senior leaders, defense and military officials, members of the academe, defense industry partners, air-power practitioners, and others who have a stake in the country's defense security and development.

This year's symposium was graced with presentations from the Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines GEN CARLITO G GALVEZ JR AFP; Deputy Commander, Pacific Air Forces MGEN RUSSEL L MACK USAF; Chief of Staff, Japan Air Self-Defense Force GEN YOSHINARI MARUMO; Air Commander, Royal Australian Air Force AIR VICE-MARSHAL STEVEN ROBERTON, DSC, AM; and Chief of Innovation and Business Development, INNOV8FLIGHT COL EDMUNDO F GAMMAD PAF (Ret).

The AFS is a pre-anniversary activity of the PAF which aims to increase awareness among stakeholders on how air power can be harnessed to contribute to national and regional security.
