In support of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease and JTF-NCR, and in coordination with the Department of Health, the Philippine Air Force airlifted laboratory specimens from various points in the country on Wednesday morning, March 18, 2020.
The PAF NC212i #2120 flew to Tacloban, Cagayan de Oro, Mactan, and Iloilo to pick-up a total of 78 sealed laboratory specimens which will be brought to a testing center in Manila for initial diagnostic testing for COVID-19.
In addition, eleven (11) boxes of PPEs for DOH-Lanao were also transported from Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base to Laguindingan Airport in Cagayan de Oro.
