New PAF Pilots Graduated

The Philippine Air Force Flying School (PAFFS) located at the pine-tree cladded Fernando Air Base in Lipa City Batangas, welcomed thirty-nine new pilots during the traditional graduation ceremony of Military Pilot Training (MPT) held at Air Education and Training Command Hangar “A” Fernando Air Base, Lipa City last September 22, 2015 with the Commanding General PAF, LTGEN JEFFREY F DELGADO AFP as the Guest of Honor.

PAFFS Commandant, COL RENE S DIAZ PAF (GSC) presented them to the Commander of the AETC, MGEN SALVADOR MELCHOR B MISON JR AFP who declared the members of MPT Class 2015 Bravo as graduates. Afterwards, LTGEN DELGADO presented the diplomas to the graduates.

The ceremony was highlighted with the awarding of medals to the achievers who have shown exemplary performance in the phase of their MPT and as follows:

1LT JESS DARYL A CHULSI PAF was awarded the Commanding General's PAF Medal and AETC Commander's Medal for obtaining the highest over-all rating and highest academic rating in the entire phase of MPT.

2LT JOHN LORENZON M EGAR PAF was awarded the McMicking Award for obtaining the highest over-all rating in the flying phase of MPT.

2LT PHILIP VINCENT ROY R FREIRE PAF was awarded the Vicente C Rivera Award for obtaining the highest over-all rating in the instrument flying phase of MPT.

Thirty-nine new pilots undergone a total of 150 flying hours before receiving their pilots' badge. Also, plaques of appreciation were given to 355th Aviation Engineering Wing, 410th Maintenance Wing and 505th Search and Rescue Group who rendered invaluable and exceptional service to the AETC and PAFFS.

The CG, PAF congratulates all the graduates and commended all the awardees for their exemplary performance during the training as he quote "always follow all the basic way you learn from PAFFS" and he also encourages everyone to Soar High for Peace, Freedom and Development.
