With the common goal of overcoming challenges to contemporary times, the Philippine Air Force and the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) are now officially an ally following its Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing held at the New Hall of Flags Col Jesus Villamor Air Base Pasay City on March 08, 2019.

NEDA is the country’s premier socioeconomic planning body, highly regarded as the authority in macroeconomic forecasting and policy analysis and research. It also provides a high-level of advice to policymakers in Congress together with the executive branch.

Its key responsibilities include:

  1. Coordination of such activities as the formulation of policies, plans and programs to efficiently set the broad parameters for national and sub-national (area-wide, regional and local development);
  2. Review, evaluation, and monitoring of infrastructure projects identified under the Comprehensive and Integrated Infrastructure Program (CIIP) consistent with the government’s thrust of increasing investment spending for the growing demand on quality infrastructure facilities; and
  3. Undertaking of short-term policy reviews to provide critical analyses of development issues and policy alternatives to decision-makers.

More so, this significant partnership is set to increase awareness on the responsibility of every citizen to be selflessly dedicated in service to his own country not only in times of peace and prosperity, but also in times of calamities and disaster.

During the event, both head of both parties are present to graced the event and seal the deal as signatories. The PAF was represented by the Commanding General PAF LTGEN ROZZANO D BRIGUEZ AFP while NEDA was led by Secretary Ernesto M Pernia.
