The Headquarters Service Support Group of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) formally held a simple yet meaningful joint Pinning of the Long Service Pin and Recognition of Newly Promoted Civilian Employees Ceremony with the Group Commander, Colonel Elpidio B Talja Jr, as Guest of Honor.

Pursuant to General Order No. 273 Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Headquarters PAF dated 04 August 2016, the following civilian employees were awarded the loyalty service pin for having completed 10, 30, 35, and 40 years of continuous faithful service with the PAF:

10 years:

30 years:

Ms Teodora Saqui

Ms Susan R Siatela

Ms Charito Montaño

Ms Anna Marie A Imperio

35 years:

40 years:

Also included in the list of awardees who failed to attend are the following: (10 years) Frederick J Labraque, Freddie N Macaalay, Racquel T Belando, Rhea T Bautista; (35 years) Evangeline I Vidal; and (40 years) Mr Oscar C De Villa.

The handing over of the approved promotional appointment to the deserving newly promoted civilian employees immediately followed. The promoted civilian employees are Ms Elizabeth P Baliwag from Salary Grade (SG)-4 to SG-8, as Administrative Assistant II; Ms Reynalda S Carumba SG-15 to SG-18, as Administrative Officer V; and Ms Charito M Montaño from SG-22 to SG-24, as Chief Administrative Officer.

In his remarks, Col Talja shared that at the onset of his military career as a young lieutenant, he was already very close with the civilian employees considering that his mother was once a government employee. He also added that he is cognizant of the challenges that the civilian employees are facing yet urged them to continue to excel in their work. In closing, he commended the awardees and newly promoted civilian employees.
