FIRST FILIPINA JAPAN NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY GRADUATE REPORTS TO THE PAF

SECOND LIEUTENANT KAREN EVE E. MANTE PAF, the first Filipino female graduate of Japan National Defense Academy (JNDA) pays a courtesy call on the Commanding General, Philippine Air Force, LT GEN JEFFREY F DELGADO AFP in his office at Villamor Air Base last March 31, 2015.

2LT MANTE chose to join the Philippine Air Force on her 2nd year of training in JNDA. She distinguished herself for graduating with an award as an outstanding cadet as well as earning a badge for excellence in physical training.

She spent a year in the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) before she was sent by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to the JNDA as a full scholar. She spent five years of cadetship training in the JNDA.

In an interview with 2LT MANTE, when asked about what unit in the PAF she wants to be assigned in, she humbly replied, “Kahit saan naman OK ako, pero ang first goal ko ay to become a pilot”. For those who wishes to be like her, she advised, “There’s no impossible thing in this world, kung kaya ng iba, kaya mo din, basta tatapusin mo kung ano man ang sinimulan mo”.

CG, PAF congratulated the female graduate for her excellence that made the PMA proud as well as the Philippine Air Force.
