The Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force MGEN ALLEN T PAREDES AFP, visited the PAF personnel who took part in the clearing operations in Talisay, Batangas.
A total of eight (8) Poblacions in Talisay Town proper were engaged in the said clearing operations conducted by the 355th Aviation Engineer Wing and 710th Special Operations Wing.
During his visit, the CG, PAF observed the conduct of the road clearing operations in the area which involves both the use of heavy engineering equipment and individual tools particularly shovels. As of the time of writing, the PAF clearing team has attained 30% accomplishment rate for población 2 and is set to finish the activity for the said area by weekend.
The residents of the area personally express gratitude to the CG, PAF and the rest of the clearing team for the help that was being extended to them. People in the area were very optimistic that with the help of PAF'S "Ash Warriors" they will be able to celebrate their much-anticipated fiesta by next month and eventually recover from the devastation brought about by Taal volcano eruption.
Meanwhile, BGEN RALPH L MAMAUAG AFP, Wing Commander of 355th AEW and BGEN EDWARD L LIBAGO AFP, Wing Commander of 710th SPOW were also present during the said activity.
