The Tactical Operations Group 2, spearheaded by its Group Commander, LTC RANDY G BUENA PAF (MNSA), and in collaboration with 5CMOBn, 5ID, PA held a Campus Peace and Development Forum at the Isabela State University - Cauayan Campus on September 12, 2019.

MGEN PABLO M LORENZO AFP, Commander, 5ID, PA imparted a message on the importance of the whole-of-nation approach in ending local communist armed conflict in the country which has been persisting for 50 years.

The forum featured subject matter experts from the Isabela Provincial Youth Development Office and Philippine Information Agency.

One of the forum's main highlights was a lecture by 'Lola', a former rebel and National President of People's Advocacy for Collaboration and Empowerment (PeACE), who discussed the tactics of Communist Terrorist Groups' Campus Infiltration and the implications of being a member of the CTGs.

The forum aims to educate the public specifically the students and members of the academe on the peace and development efforts of the government and to insulate the students from the recruitment of CTGs.

The said forum was attended by over 1,400 students and faculty members.

Moreover, TOG 2 also aired their second episode of UP UP Isabela with 'Lola' and MGEN LORENZO AFP as special guests. Present at the program were members of the media who took turns in asking questions about the National Task Force-Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict.

These activities are in line with the Executive Order No. 70 which mandates the creation of NTF-ELCAC, enabling a whole-of-nation approach in ending the government's war against communist insurgency.
