Airmen Athletes Win Medals at 2017 SEA Games

Nine athletes of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) went home with flying colors as they competed in the recently concluded 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The following medalists are:

A2C Mario A Fernandez PAF - Boxing (Bantam Weight)

A2C Jason C Huerte PAF - Sepak Takraw (Men's Regu)

A2C Regie Reznan T Pabriga PAF - Sepak Takraw (Linking)

AM Joert T JUmawan PAF - Sepak Takraw (Linking)


AM Rheyjey C Ortouste PAF - Sepak Takraw (Men's Double)

A2C Mervin M Guarte PAF - Athletics (1500m)

A2C Edgardo G Alejan Jr - Athletics (4x400m Relay)

Sgt Arniel B Ferrera PAF - Athletics (Hammer Throw)

Among more than a hundred-strong Filipino athletes who represented the Philippines, these able and determined airmen have brought pride and honor not only to the PAF but also to the entire country.

To recognize them for their achievement, the PAF through its Vice Commander, Major General Rozzano D Briguez AFP, conferred them with Military Merit Medal during the flag raising ceremony conducted on October 09, 2017 at the PAF Grandstand, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.
