AIRLIFTERS SORTIES ON HOLY WEEK

Today is no special holiday for the Philippine Air Force 220th Airlifters, as the whole country commemorate the Lenten Season, A number of flight missions were set to cater the airlift requirements of operational units to provide immediate assistance to people in need.

The first flight was set to ferry personnel and assorted cargoes of Northern Luzon Command from Clark Air Base to Batanes via C-130 aircraft piloted by CPT SERSENA and LT LAUDE, said cargoes are essential in the timely accomplishment of the missions in the area particularly for the scheduled relieving of marine sentinels.

Second flight was the missions for two Nomad and one F-27 aircraft which are both stationed at Mactan. The Nomad aircraft with tail nr 87, manned by MAJ MANEJE and his Co-Pilots namely LT LLONA and LT FACTOR was deployed to Palawan, to fly the remaining light airlift requirements.

The other nomad aircraft with tail nr 12 piloted by LT AGAPAY and LT ALDAVE, ferry the maintenance specialists and other requirements from the 15th Strike Wing, Sangley Point, Cavite to Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro.

On the other hand, the F-27 aircraft with tail nr 620, was deployed at Col Jesus Villamor Air Base to conduct training flights for its pilot upgrading led by LTC BAUTISTA. Jibed on the said flight is the airlift of a cancer patient from Manila to Ormoc.

Truly, in time for this Holy Saturday, there can be no meaningful sacrifice than to be of service to the Nation.
