AGI TO THE PAF COMMENCES

The Office of the Inspector General (OTIG) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), headed by Major General Oscar T Lactao AFP, began its Annual General Inspection (AGI) of the Philippine Air Force on August 31 that will last up to to October 7, 2016.

Full military honors on Wednesday morning, August 31, was accorded to MGen Lactao, upon arrival, at the HPAF Quadrangle with the 520th Wing Commander, BGen Emigdio D Guevarra, as military host. He and his team rendered courtesy call on the PAF Commanding General, Lieutenant General Edgar R Fallorina AFP, which was then followed by an entrance briefing at the Hall of Flags.

An AGI Grand Dialogue at the PAF Multi-purpose Gymnasium then followed, which was attended by all HPAF Officers, Enlisted Personnel and Civilian Employees.

Prior to the dialogue, personnel from the office of the Air Force Inspector General (AFIG) requested each personnel to fill-up the survey questionnaire, which serves as a basis in assessing the following: leadership and effectiveness of the PAF Commanding General, state of morale and welfare of personnel, and the Command’s performance in the implementation of its existing laws and policies.

In his speech, MGen Lactao thanked the CG, PAF for his warm welcome. He requested the PAF personnel to answer the questionnaire with honesty and truthfulness, and encouraged them to raise any issues or concerns. He also explained that the inspection is not intended for fault finding. In fact, it will help the PAF in improving its organization.
