The 5th Fighter Wing celebrated its 73rd Founding Anniversary with the theme: "Sustaining Excellence, Building Capabilities, Overcoming Challenges", with the Commander of Air Defense Command, MGEN CONNOR ANTHONY D CANLAS SR PAF as Guest of Honor and Speaker at Bay 2 Hangar, Basa Air Base, Pampanga on 22 October 2020.
Highlighted during the activity was the presentation of certificate of recognition to all the outstanding personnel and appreciation to partner stakeholders of the Wing. It was followed by the blessing of the newly renovated/constructed buildings and newly acquired X-ray equipment of Basa Air Base Hospital.
Moreover, other PAF Units under the ADC, 355th Aviation Engineer Wing, 5th FW Unit Commanders and Staffs, WSM and key NCOs also attended the said activity.
The activity was conducted following the minimum safety protocol against COVID-19.
