With the theme: "205THW @ 66: Breaking through the Challenges @ TOPSPEED, Integrating Efforts for Enhanced Tactical Heli-Lift Capabilities for Peace and Resilient Development", the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing of the Philippine Air Force successfully conducted its first ever joint activity of 66th Founding Anniversary and Change of Command Ceremony at Base Theater, BGBNEAB in Lapu-Lapu City on September 20, 2018 with the Commanding General, PAF LTGEN GALILEO GERARD R KINTANAR JR AFP as the Guest of Honor and Presiding Officer.
During the activity, BGEN ERICKSON R GLORIA AFP presented to CG, PAF the Units accomplishments during his stint together with a Marawi Documentary Book with video entitled "Rotors of Liberation" which signifies the entire efforts of the Unit during the longest siege in Marawi.
Highlighted during the activity was the presentation of awards to the following outstanding units and personnel of the Wing. Likewise, special recognition was also given to other PAF units and stakeholders who immensely contributed much for the accomplishment of the Unit's mission:

Furthermore, tinted also during the activity was the Change of Command Ceremony of the New Wing Commander 205THW. The Deputy Wing Commander, 205THW COL RENE RAOUL ROMMEL DC HONASAN PAF (GSC) was appointed as the New Acting Wing Commander of the Unit.
In his assumption speech, COL HONASAN introduced his programs utilizing the acronym "205 to HOVER" for Peace and Resilient Development. The "205 HOVER" stands for:
"TWO" - stands for the two Core Functions of the 205THW embodied in the Strategy Map of our Flight Plan - which are Tactical Heli-Lift and Combat Search and Rescue.
"ZERO" - stands for Zero Out the Negatives. The Wing has a strong desire to attain a Zero percentage of Accidents and Incidents in all its flight and ground missions.
"FIVE" - which represents the five PAF Core Values namely: INTEGRITY, SERVICE ABOVE SELF, TEAMWORK, EXCELLENCE, AND PROFESSIONALISM.
H - Harmonize the objectives of the Organization align with the Plan Velocity, Flight Plan 2028 and the three (3) year capability plan;
O -Optimize Operational Readiness Rate of all Equipment catering all Mission aspects;
V - Value the impact of activities focused on GAD alongside with Morale and Welfare of Personnel;
E - Empower personnel to develop culture of leadership at all levels;
R - Reinforce efforts for a responsive requirement determination to address material challenges.
Meanwhile, the Outgoing Wing Commander, BGEN GLORIA assumed the position as the new Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, J-1 leaving his thoughts that 205THW will become more effective, efficient and excellent flying unit of the PAF and the AFP.
On the other hand, the CG, PAF commended the outgoing Wing Commander for his exceptional leadership during his stint. Likewise, he applauded COL HONASAN on his new designation and advised to gear up and be prepared with the expected arrival of the 16 additional Bell 412 EPIs starting December of this year until year 2020.
The said occasion was attended by the former Commanding Generals of the PAF, former Wing Commanders of 205th THW, other PAF and AFP units, individual awardees both military and civilians, stakeholders and the 205th THW personnel. Indeed, the occasion was a successful one.
