The 1st Air Division proudly celebrated its 45th Founding Anniversary with the theme, "1st Air Division @45: Proactively Enhancing Capabilities Towards a Jointly Engaged Transforming Force in Luzon,” on September 1, 2016 at the Challenger's Field in Clark Air Base, Air Force City in Pampanga.

Full military honors was accorded to the Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force, Lieutenant General Edgar R Fallorina AFP, who was the Guest of Honor, when he arrived.

This year’s anniversary highlighted the presentation of awards to the Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and Civilian Employees for their meritorious and exceptional feats. Plaques of appreciation were also given to other PAF units and stakeholders for their invaluable support that contributed to 1AD’s mission accomplishment. The CG, PAF, together with the 1AD Commander and Deputy Commander, gave recognition to the following:

Tactical Group of the Year- Tactical Operations Group 1

Officer of the Year- Maj Love Joy B Sebillo PAF

NCO of the Year- Ssg Jake P Belino PAF

Airman/Airwoman of the Year- AW1C Rosie S Ramos PAF

Civilian Employee of the Year- Mr Mario B Miranda CE

207th Tactical Helicopter Squadron

TOG 1- Office of the Civil Defense, Cordillera Administrative Region

TOG 2- Local Government of Cauayan City

TOG 3- Dr Germilyn A Guiao, Regional Coordinator for Central Luzon

TOG 4- Ms Christine M Francisco, Lieutenant Governor-Elect, Kiwanis Hiyas ng Quezon

TOG 5- Architect Kristine M Lagman, UAAP, PIEP

1AD Commander, BGen Enrique C Reyes AFP, expressed his sincerest appreciation to all attendees, especially to the former 1AD Commanders, the Officers, EPs, and CEs for their dedication and professionalism. He mentioned some of the unit’s significant accomplishments in the past years and reminded everyone to keep in mind the roots of their success. Further, BGen Reyes underscored the importance of teamwork in the organization, which was a contributing factor to their success.

Impressed by how 1AD has metamorphosed into the kind of organization that it is now since he was its commander a few years back, Lt Gen Fallorina expressed his profound felicitation to the Division for its accomplishments over the years. He took the opportunity to thank all the individuals, organizations, and stakeholders for their support and contribution to the 1AD. More so, he cited PAF’s strong support to the administration campaign against criminality and illegal drugs, through the 1AD.

“I have faith and confidence that when duty calls, you will all respond with vigor and enthusiasm,” he added.
