14 newly commissioned 2nd Lieutenants paid a courtesy call to the Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force, Lt Gen Edgar R Fallorina AFP on April 29, 2016 at the Hall of Flags, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.
13 of them are among the members of the Philippine Military Academy "Gabay-Laya" Class of 2016 composed of 11 males and 2 females with the following names:

Meanwhile, the other one is 2lt James M Amigo, member of PMA Class of 2014 who graduated at Japan National Defense Academy (JNDA) last March 21, 2016.
In the ceremony, they were warmly welcomed and received by the CG, PAF and congratulated them for being part of PAF. In his speech, he said that the new officers are fortunate to have entered during this time because the Air Force is continuing its advancement. As you join the Long Blue Line -- I know you will carry us even farther, and even higher. And with your proud service, I am absolutely confident that the Philippine Air Force will carry on proudly and strong meeting the tests of our time. CG,PAF added.
Normally, after their courtesy call to CG, PAF, the newly commissioned officers will be given their Unit assignments and start performing their functions as officers of the Philippine Air Force then later on they will be given opportunities to improve their careers by undergoing specialization courses such as the military pilot training, logistics courses, administration and operations courses, intelligence courses and foreign training.
