One (1) UH-1H helicopter of the Philippine Air Force conducted relief operations from Cagayan Provincial Capitol to different barangays in the municipalities of Alcala, Solana and Amulung on November 16, 2020. A total of 1,587 lbs of assorted relief goods were distributed to several households.
Moreover, two (2) military vehicles were also utilized in the distribution of 200 packs of relief goods to the municipality of Amulung later that day.
The 505th Search and Rescue Group (SRG) utilizing a UH-1H helicopter of the 207th Tactical Helicopter Squadron (THS) airlifted patients from the Municipality of Alcala to the Provincial Capitol of Cagayan in Tuguegarao City on November 15, 2020.
The medical evacuation team flew three (3) patients – Mrs. Marieta Del Rosario and her son John Del Rosario who were electrocuted; and Mrs Theresita Siason who is suffering from suspected spinal injury. The said patients are victims of the massive flooding in the area.
Two (2) UH-1H helicopters of the Philippine Air Force under the Tactical Operations Group 2 headed by COL AUGUSTO N PADUA PAF (GSC) continue to work round the clock in facilitating the transportation of relief goods and other essential items to thousands of families affected by Typhoon “Ulysses” in Cagayan Valley.
As of this today, November 15, 2020, a total of 3,500 lbs of cargoes were transported from Cagayan Provincial Capitol to the inaccessible areas in the municipalities of Alcala, Amulung, Lal-lo, Solana, and Enrile in Cagayan.
The Philippine Air Force C-295 aircraft transported the 505th Search and Rescue Group personnel and equipment for the conduct of Water Search and Rescue operations to flooded and trapped families in Cagayan Valley on November 14, 2020.
Likewise, Two (2) Bell-412 aircraft from the 207th Tactical Helicopter Squadron were utilized by the 505th SRG for the conduct of aerial rescue to areas experiencing massive flooding in Cagayan River due to the continuous upsurge of water in Magat Dam in Isabela.
The Philippine Air Force activated its Disaster Response Task Units (DRTU) and conducted Search and Rescue to stranded families in the most affected communities in the National Capital Region and CALABARZON.
The 15th Strike Wing deployed its DRTU teams and rescued families including seven (7) children who were trapped in their houses in Marikina City on November 12, 2020. Meanwhile, another DRTU team utilized its military trucks in transporting a total of 48 stranded individuals due to the high water level at the Ylang-Ylang River in Noveleta, Cavite.
The aftermath of typhoon “Ulysses” has yet again highlighted the PAF's solemn commitment in serving the Filipino People. Through the “Tulong Bayanihan 2” advocacy the PAF seized the Golden Hour to provide Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) to affected communities all over Central and Southern Luzon and NCR.
The Philippine Air Force Reservists under the 3rd Air Force Wing Reserve together with other Armed Forces of the Philippines Units, Philippine National Police, Philippine Red Cross, and with the Local Government Unit of Batangas conducted Search and Rescue Operations for the victims of Typhoon Rolly in Ibaan, Batangas on November 2, 2020.
