COURT JUSTICE Donned as PAF RESERVIST

Hon Andres B Reyes Jr took his oaths as newly commissioned reservist of the Philippine Air Force with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, during the Donning of Rank and Oath Taking ceremony held on January 12, 2017 at the Staff Lounge, CJVAB, Pasay City with the Commanding General, PAF Lt Gen Edgar R Fallorina AFP, as the presiding officer.

Justice Reyes Jr started working as a private secretary for his father, the former Presiding Justice Andres Reyes Sr of the Court of Appeals when he was still a law student.

Just after he passed the bar examinations in 1978, he worked as a prosecutor and then as Chief Legal Officer of the Tanodbayan. He served as Judge at the Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch 61, Makati in 1987 and at the Regional Trial Court, Branch 75, San Mateo, Rizal in 1990. In 1999 he was appointed as Justice at the Court of Appeals. He also served as Chairman of 1st , 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th, and 17th Division, Court of Appeals; Chairman of 7th and 8th Division, Court of Appeals; and as Chairman, Computerization Committee of Court of Appeals. He likewise held post as the President of Metropolitan Trial Court of Judges; President of LSGH Class 68 Primus, LSGH Alumni Association; Secretary of PALS Board; and council of advisory, LSGH Alumni Association.

Aside from being a Judge, he also worked as law professor at the Arellano University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and in Philippine Christian College.

The commissioning of Reserve Force in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is not only for force multiplier, but also to avail best officer who may be effectively utilized in the reserve units of the AFP upon mobilization in war or national emergency.
