PAF Participates In Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay Bloodletting Project

The Philippine Air Force took part in the conduct of the bloodletting project in partnership with the Regional Emergency Assistance Communications Team (REACT), Dugong Alay Dugtong Buhay Inc. (DADBI) and 8TRIMEDIA Broadcasting Network (8TBN) on January 18, 2017 at the PAF Gymnasium, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

A total of 156 bags and 70, 000 cubic cms of blood were extracted from the PAF personnel, civilian employees, and other volunteers. The activity was the first collaboration of the PAF, DADBI and 8TRIMEDIA. It aimed to collect blood donations from the volunteers coming from the PAF and other branch of the AFP, which will save lives in the future.

The DADBI aimed to organize bloodletting activities to make available safe and free blood in coordination with blood bank centers and partners from the private and public hospitals.

Meanwhile, the 8TRIMEDIA is a group of businessmen and communication specialists united together to expand its services to include public relations and advertising, crisis communication management, design and production of marketing collateral, and communication-focused capacity-building training activities.
