1st RRATSW Celebrate 40th Anniversary

             The 1st Ready Reserve Airlift and Tactical Support Wing (1st RRATSW), the flying unit of the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) under Brig Gen Alejandro T Camagay, celebrated its 40th anniversary this morning at the Villamor Golf Club.  Air Force Chief Lt Gen Oscar H Rabena AFP was Guest of Honor and Speaker.  The formal program was highlighted by the presentation of awards to outstanding members of the Wing.

             The Guest of Honor, assisted by AFRC Commander, Brig Gen Alejando T Camagay  Jr. AFP, presented awards to outstanding members of  the Wing.  Likewise, affiliated reserve units were duly recognized for their active participation in the massive relief and rescue operations for victims of “Ondoy” and “Pepeng”.

             In his speech, Lt Gen Rabena congratulated the Wing for its accomplishments and lauded the fact that “…reservists today, are active in humanitarian work that allow”.   the regular forces to focus on tactical and combat operations”.    He particularly pointed out that the 1st RRATSW recorded “commendable accomplishments in almost every facet of reservist missions”.

            Celebrating their 40th year, the reservists are gradually getting involved in more tactical operations as part of their continuous training and integration into the core of military operations.
