MAJ GEN MANCENIDO RETIRES

Philippine Air Force Acting Commanding General, Maj Gen Eduardo SL Oban AFP will welcome Maj Gen Arthur P. Mancenido AFP, Commander of the Air Logistics Command (ALC) during the conduct of the traditional Retirement Call of the latter.  The event is set today at 9:00 o’ clock in the morning at the Office of the Commanding General. 

Maj Gen Mancenido is set to retire on March 14, 2010, however, the Testimonial Review and Turnover of Command for the Air Logistics Command will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010 in Clark Air Base, Pampanga where the Headquarters, Air Logistics Command is based. The event will be a fitting tribute to his fruitful military career. 

A member of PMA Class ’77, Maj Gen Mancenido served the Air Force for more than 33 years in various positions with enormous responsibilities. While he showed aptitude and skill in every assignment, he made his mark as a chief logistician.  As commander of the ALC, the lifeblood of the Air Force, he was successful in implementing effective logistics management vis-à-vis latent scarcity in resources.  

Acting Air Force Chief Maj Gen Oban, the HPAF staff and other Villamor-based unit commanders feted the outgoing ALC Chief.  Presentation of token ended the simple program marking the Retirement Call of ALC Commander, Maj Gen Mancenido AFP.
