TAYSAN, BATANGAS - RECOVERED REBEL FIREARMS - Photo above shows the firearms and other assorted gears recovered by Philippine Air Force troopers from New People’s Army in the aftermath of a clash in Taysan, Batangas Thursday. THE FUTURE IS IN THEIR HANDS. It is often said that planting a tree today is for the benefit of the future generations. This adage was beautifully captured in the photograph above showing the Commanding General, PAF, Lt General Oscar H Rabena, lending a fatherly hand to a child during a tree planting activity that kicked off a series of activities with different communities nationwide to celebrate the 63rd Philippine Air Force Anniversary on 01 July. An elderly woman and another child completing the picture gives meaning to the need for community elders to do something for the betterment of the future generation. The PAF, now on its 63rd year as a Philippine military institution, is surely looking forward to a healthier environment for future generations with its regular tree planting activities.
