SND CONDUCT FAREWELL VISIT TO PAF

            The Secretary of National Defense, Hon. Gilberto C Teodoro Jr., went the rounds of major military installations to formally bid farewell to comrades in the Armed Forces of the Philippines.  He will visit the Philippine Air Force this afternoon and will be accorded full military honors at the PAF Grandstand

            Secretary Teodoro, during his previous visits to the PAF, expressed his appreciation for the Command’s marked contribution to the mission accomplishment of the AFP as well as the Air Force’s successful campaigns against lawlessness and solid support to ground forces. 

            Air Force authorities led by Air Force Chief Lt Gen Oscar H Rabena, the HPAF staff and other unit commanders collectively thanked the outgoing Defense Secretary for his support for the PAF.  Presentation of token to Sec. Teodoro will end the simple program marking the Farewell Visit.

            Sec. Teodoro assumed office as Secretary of National Defense on August 8, 2007. He leaves his government post as he was named the standard-bearer for the Lakas-Kampi CMD Party in the May 2010 elections.
