AFFC IS 36; ESTABLISH LOAN MONITORING SYSTEM
The Air Force Finance Center (AFFC), headed by Colonel Florentino S Rasco Jr, AFFC Commanding Officer, celebrated its 36th Foundation Anniversary today with a morning Thanksgiving Mass and an afternoon formal program held at PAF Airmen’s Club in Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base. Air Force Chief Lt Gen Oscar H Rabena was Guest of Honor and Ms. Jocelyn B Rabena was Special Guest. This year’s anniversary theme: “Innovative System for Transparent Financial Operations, Effective Services & Proficient AFFC””, highlighted the Center’s numerous initiatives to keep abreast with the current Command thrust.
Coinciding with the 36th anniversary of the Center is the launching of the Special Project on Financial Institution Loan Monitoring System (FILMS). It is one of the initiatives taken by the AFFC to provide fast and updated loan/financial records of all members of the PAF.
The project is a continuation of the previous year’s systems upgrade program to modernize the AFFC that saw the implementation of the PAF VCS server, development of the AFFC website and the installation of virtual private network (VPN) that aims to link all Finance Service Units (FSUs) nationwide. The AFFC utilize developments in technology to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in providing financial information and updates throughout all units without any delay.
With these modern systems and initiatives in place, the AFFC has attained the highest level of internal control and security to be able to maintain not only system integrity but also a faster, much improved service to its clientele.#
