PRESIDENT  AQUINO; GEN OBAN AT TOPS AWARDS CONFERMENT

His Excellency, President Benigno S Aquino III will be Guest of Honor with AFP Chief of Staff, General Eduardo SL Oban Jr. at the conferment of awards for the Ten Outstanding Philippine Soldiers 2011.  The awarding rites was held today, 26 August 2011 at 2:00 o’ clock in the afternoon at the Rizal Hall in Malacañang Palace. 

According to Public Information Office Director, Lt Col Miguel Ernesto  G Okol among the chosen awardees for the PAF TOPS 2011 is  an accomplished officer/pilot, a technical educator and a former battled-tested helicopter aircrew.   

Colonel Del Rosario one of the this year’s TOPS awardee for the Air Force.  He is an accomplished officer and has distinguished himself as a fighter pilot and a topnotch officer of the Philippine Air Force.

MSg Nelson S Mercado PAF, a native of Lipa City, Batangas,  is the Sergeant Major of the PAF Technical and Specialization Training School, Air Education and Training Command. 

MSg Ma. Teresa Malibiran Bitong (PAF) WAC, is one of this year’s TOPS awardees for the Air Force. She  is a member of the Women’s Auxiliary Corp and is currently the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge, Director for Materiel, PAF Officer Candidate School.

All the PAF TOPS awardees are outstanding examples  of a well-balanced military career and effective involvement in civic society.
