GAWAD KALINGA - "BAYANI CHALLENGE 2 Mar 2009 - Villamor Air Base, Pasay City - TOG4 together with NGOs, LGU/A’s in Lucena City,   participated the Bayani Challenge- building of houses at Angel Village, Bgy Talao-talao, Lucena City for poor residents of the barangay.  The 27-man PAF Team headed by TOG 4 Commander, Col John G Estoesta, immensely contributed   to the Gawad Kalinga Foundation, the organizer of the  event. In connection with the activity, TOG 4 likewise donated  20 drums to be used for water storage of the residents who were beneficiaries of the houses. (Photos courtesy of TOG4)

FLAG RAISING AWARDEES 03 Mar 2009 - Villamor Air Base, Pasay City - Air Force Vice Commander, Maj Gen Rene Badilla, representing PAF Chief, Lt Gen Oscar H Rabena, presented awards of recognition to four individuals yesterday during the First Monday Flag Raising Ceremony.  The awardees included (photos left to right) 1Lt Engelberto A Nioda Jr of 740th CG - Gold Cross Medal; SSgt Mario V Casapao, Bronze Cross Medal;  (lower photos, left to right) Capt Joe Eric A Sibayan, Military Merit Medal and Mrs. Lilia G Quizon, (Loyalty Gold Pin) cited for 40 years of dedicated and continuous service to the PAF. SPOW CMO ACTIVITIES 03 Mar 2009 - Villamor Air Base, Pasay City - 740^th CG under  MAJ ARNEL L VILLAREAL conducted a series of CMO activities in several areas in LIpa.  A total of one thousand one hundred sixty-nine (1,169) Batanguenos benefited from the series of Civil Military Operations conducted by the 740th CG in Lipa City.  Aside from the free medical and dental treatment, residents  as well as high school students were appraised  about the perils of the CPP/ NPA/NDF strategy. 1301st Dental Dispensary New High Tech Equipment 03 Mar 2009 - Villamor Air Base, Pasay City - A dental technician at the 1301st Dental Dispensary demonstrates the capability of the dental intra-oral camera connected to a high definition flat screen.  The modern gadget, attached to the dental chair, is one of the latest top-of-the-line equipment  at the dental dispensary.  The Air Force has acquired 5 units of the modern dental equipment  to enable the PAF to effectively provide improved dental health care to Air Force personnel, their dependents and authorized  civilians. TOG 8 COASTAL CLEANUP 04  Mar 2009 - Villamor Air Base, Pasay City - The Headquarters Tactial Operations Group 8, 2^nd Air Division  headed by Lt Col Anselmo Junsay III  Group Commander,  together with its OPCON units  conduct the monthly scheduled coastal clean-up along the shoreline of DZR Airport Complex, Tacloban City last February 28, 2009.   Photo shows personnel from TOG 8  cleaning the shoreline; the Group later collected and appropriately disposed more or less fifteen (15) sacks of non- biodegradable and biodegradable waste materials. WIA AIR EVAC - Camp Nakar, Lucena City - Air Evacuation. TOG 4 commander Col. John Estoesta has placed his men and assets on high alert, ready to respond against NPA rebels in Quezon province following armed encounters between elements of the Philippine Army 1st Special Forces Company and an undetermined number of rebels in Mauban, Quezon. Photo above was taken inside a UH-1H that evacuated the wounded soldiers somewhere in the highlands of Mauban.

MEDCAP at Brgy Old Balara - Civil Military Operation personnel from  the 750th  Combat Group assist staff of  Anghel ng Masa  in the distribution of medicines for indigent residents of Brgy Old Balara, Quezon City during the conduct of a Medical Civic Action Program (MEDCAP). Once a Trojan, Always a Trojan - Lt Gen Oscar H Rabena,  Philippine Air Force Commanding General, with his lady, Mrs Josie Rabena (center, background) is welcomed by 15th SW Commander, BGen Jose Tony Villarete during a recent visit to the Cavite-based unit.  The PAF Chief  was accorded a parade and review during his first official visit to 15th SW after being named as the 31st PAF Commanding General. The esteemed guest was a former  commander of the unit.

OPLAN “PAP SMEAR” -In support to National Women’s Health Month of the Department of Health,  the 15th Strike Wing under the leadership of the Wing Commander, BGen  Jose Tony E Villarete, conducted Oplan “PAP SMEAR” in Barangay 08 Pulo, Dalahican, Cavite City last 31 March 2009. The free medical diagnostic procedure for women to evaluate cervical cells was a CMO activity of the 592nd Air Base Squadron and Maj Danilo Atienza Air Base Hospital with the support of Naic Lion’s Club.
